The statement

Tidy & Stow is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We earn from qualifying purchases. Our Amazon Associates store ID is tidyandstow-20.

If you click a buy button on this site and then purchase something, Amazon pays us a small percentage. It costs you nothing extra -- the price is the same whether you arrive through us or type the product name in yourself.

Where the links are, and how to spot them

Every commercial link on this site is a buy button or a product name in a picks section. They pass through our own /go redirect before reaching Amazon, they open in a new tab, and they carry rel="sponsored nofollow". Every page that contains one shows a disclosure above the first link, not only down here. Each buy button is marked #ad.

Links inside our writing that point at a manufacturer's documentation or a retailer listing as a source are not affiliate links. Those are citations, and they are deliberately left untagged so you can check a figure without paying us for the privilege.

Which programs we are actually in

Amazon, and nothing else. At the time of writing we have no Commission Junction advertisers and no Awin programs on our accounts, so there are no links to either anywhere on this site. If that changes -- if we join a program that genuinely serves a reader better than Amazon does for a given product -- this page gets updated before any such link is published.

Where a product is not sold on Amazon, we either link to it plainly with no tracking and earn nothing, or we do not cover it. We never build a tracked link for a program we have not joined.

What commission does not change

• It does not affect ranking. Picks are ordered on published load, fit range, reversibility, documentation quality and price-to-capability. A cheaper product outranking a pricier one is routine here, not an exception.
• It does not stop us saying skip it. Every roundup names at least one product we would tell you not to buy, and the reason.
• It does not buy inclusion. No manufacturer, retailer or agency has ever paid to appear on this site, and none reviews our content before publication.
• It does not come with free product. We accept none. We also do not claim to have tested anything -- see how we pick.

About the prices you see

Prices are pulled from a live feed and stamped with the date they were verified. If the feed has no current figure, the button says "Check price on Amazon" and shows no number at all. We would rather show you nothing than a stale price, because a wrong price is a small lie that costs a reader real time.

Why this page exists

The US Federal Trade Commission requires that material connections between a publisher and the products it recommends are disclosed clearly and conspicuously. We think the stronger version of that obligation is the one above: not just that we earn, but exactly what it does and does not influence.
