The most useful message you can send us is that a number on this site is wrong. Every load rating and dimension here is cited to a source; if a manufacturer has revised a figure, a listing has changed, or we have simply misread something, tell us and it gets corrected and logged on the editorial policy page with a date.

The second most useful is that a product has been discontinued or a link is dead. A buy button that goes nowhere is a broken recommendation.

What we cannot help with

• Warranty and returns. We are not the seller. Those go to the retailer you bought from or the manufacturer.
• Whether your specific landlord will mind. We can tell you what your lease usually says and what each system leaves behind -- see can you drill in a rental -- but the lease in your hand is the document that decides it.
• Guaranteeing a product will hold. We publish what the manufacturer rates it for. Whether your particular wall, door or ceiling matches the conditions that rating assumes is something only you can check.

Manufacturers and PR

We do not accept free products, sponsored placements or paid inclusion, and nobody outside this site reviews content before publication -- see the affiliate disclosure. If you publish a specification we have got wrong, though, we genuinely want to hear from you, and a link to the document beats a press release every time.
