Privacy Policy

The short version

Tidy & Stow has no accounts, no logins and no newsletter. We do not sell data, and the only information you can give us directly is what you type into the contact form. Two third parties see something about your visit: Google Analytics, and Amazon when you click a buy link.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which buy links get clicked. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you use. We do not use it to identify you, and we have no way to connect that data to a name.

One custom event is recorded: when you click a buy button, we log that a click happened, which merchant it went to and which page it came from. That is how we know which recommendations are useful. It records nothing about you personally, and it does not follow you to Amazon.

Affiliate links

Buy links pass through our own /go redirect and then to Amazon with our Associates tag attached. Amazon sets its own cookies once you arrive, under its own privacy policy, and that is what lets it pay us a commission if you buy something. We never see what you bought, what you paid, or anything else about your Amazon account -- only an aggregate commission figure. Full detail on the affiliate disclosure page.

The contact form

If you write to us, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you selected and your message. It is delivered to our own mailbox and used only to reply to you and, where relevant, to correct the site. We do not add you to any list, because we do not have one. The form also records how long the page was open before you submitted it, purely to reject automated spam.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its own to distinguish repeat visits, and Amazon sets its own if you follow a buy link. Blocking cookies in your browser will not stop any part of this site from working -- nothing here depends on one.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server request data such as IP addresses in order to serve pages. Our fonts are self-hosted rather than loaded from a third-party font service, so reading this page does not send a request to anyone else for the type you are reading it in.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

Your choices

You can block analytics with any content blocker or your browser privacy settings, and nothing on this site will break. If you have written to us and would like that message deleted, ask and we will delete it. For anything else, email info@tidyandstow.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we collect.
